How to apply for a permanent liquor licence
Applications must be lodged 14 days before the first day of the event.Depending on the type of event and whether or not the applicant has a liquor licence or not, there are two possibilities, a temporary liquor licence or special event liquor licence.
The application is lodged with the local Designated Liquor Officer (DLO) and the Liquor Authority.
The application is only considered by the Presiding Officer.
Depending on when the application is lodged the application can be granted a day or two before the event.
The licence will not be issued until the day fee(s) is/are paid and proof of the address is forwarded to the Liquor Authority.
The issued licence will be forwarded to the Applicant and a copy thereof should be on the premises during the course of the event.
